CTi was established in 1996. Its main purpose was to design and manufacture antennae. Within a short time the engineering division was established to service the moulding requirement of the business. This section of the business has continued to run as a separate entity, providing plastic mouldings to both the main divisions of CTi as well as other businesses requiring plastic mouldings.

In 2003 Armour Automotive Ltd purchased CTi. Armour Automotives aim was for the group of companies to supply a complete resource of auto audio accessories to the automobile industry.
